31 Day Reset #GOALWEIGHT

Hi y’all! I miss you all!

Here we are, at new month + the beginning of a dietbet that I tripped and fell into joined with The Royalty Project (TRP) mentors. (SIDENOTE - TRP is an awesome non-profit, and you should click that link, read up, and give time or dollars to the cause). So, I am again on a mission that is on par with where I am right now, to create some healthy habits and lose a little weight.

I finally am at a place mentally, where I can think of getting back to the level of health that I once was, without being overwhelmed and start a series of tomorrows. Now that I've joined this challenge, which also has money on the line, I'd really like to win. Honestly, I am competitive and not good at losing, so I try to win. I wish I had a video of me doing living room laps for fitbit challenges. I like winning, even if there's no prize.

As I begin to prepare for this life shift, I also realize that there are a lot of aspects that go into getting physically healthy which brings me here. Although losing weight is the bee's knees, there are other joys that come from lifestyle changes that I also would also like to welcome into my life. The Ashley Nichole’ has partnered with Stephanie Bension, a Public Speaker and advocate for those living with an Ostomy, to create a 31 Day Reset.

We invite you to join us on our 31 day reset. Our goal is not only to build a healthy habit or two, but to also share in accountability as we become the best versions of ourselves! #GoalWeight is our way of mentally and physically resetting from all of the changes from 2020, and establishing healthy habits as we scale to our potential greatness!

What am I doing to make these changes? In addition to the challenge with the TRP Mentors I will be doing the following:

  1. Improving my life schedule - ensuring I have time allotted for meditation, mindfulness, working out, eating gratitude, and proper sleeping time. Stephanie suggested this cool app, Daylio, a digital self-care journal to track goals, mood, and happiness.
  2. Eating clean - ensuring I eat at least two meals that meet my caloric intake, drinking plenty of water. (I already drink a lot of water, but with the recommended daily intake being half your body weight...I need to finish my gallon daily.)
  3. Daily workouts - I’ll be doing a workout on my own, or from Peloton. All of my workouts automatically post to Apple Health, Strava...and others. Feel free to join me on Strava for accountability as well; I'd love to cheer for you!
  4. I will be posting a daily selfie, via my Instagram story, so that we can see the changes as the month progresses as well as reflections on what worked, what didn’t, and why.

Thank you all for reading and I look forward to growing over the next 31 days! What are some of your goals for the next 31 days?
